3D Arts: Last Set of Tests for 2016

please do not view this particular blog entry if you are not yet of legal age...

so here are a few test renders which i was able to accomplish before the end of the year 2016..
i'm still working on a computer which can do the job a lot better and faster..
for now, here are the results of my most recent tests...

this is a test for both Bailey and Mina character, both figures were upgraded a bit..
this pair of V4 finished rendering 98% around 2:01:11 hours..
and their head sculpt and skin tone passed my test..
i find these 2 better than the default V4.2 skin and the FREE Bonnie skin..
the Selection Boots have a great latex material representation..
but you can also see here the disadvantages for this generation of models; like fitting the clothes and bending the joints (it could be troublesome in the future)...

the newly featured materials here are:
  • Bailey Character and Hair by Silver, & Propschick
  • Minoko Suit (minus the top) by lilflame
  • both have Cool Belly Rings for Any Figure by EmmaAndJordi
+
  • Mina (for Genesis & Victoria 4) by Countess, & Silver
  • choker from FREE V4 Lacewear by Rick Bridenbaker
  • Selection Boots by lilflame

this G2F and V7 (Victoria 7) pair finished rendering 89% after 2:02:26 hours..
both had a few minor upgrades as well..
i think the Lyric sculpt can be very useful for me and my future G2F models..
her lower body sculpt is just perfect for my taste (starting from her waist down to her legs)..
she has the right form for the pelvic region, a nicely toned belly, the perfect shape for the thighs, and well toned lower legs..
i just need to provide some good morphs for her face..
the default Lyric skin seems fine, i'm just not a fan of the makeup, the broad areolae, and the pubic region, and so i'll need a replacement for that...

the Victoria 7 on the other hand has a very impressive sculpt..
both the nipple and genital region are also excellent..
i just need some thicker legs (especially the things) for her and she's good to go..
plus, i need to figure out how to make use of her skin effectively...

unlike V4, it's a lot easier to work with these models' clothes and joints..
so i'll probably use them more on scenes which will require a lot of (changing) poses...

the newly featured components in here are:
  • Lyric for Genesis 2 Female(s) by Daz Originals, & 3DSublimeProductions
  • Elite Ponytail for Genesis 2 Female(s) by Daz Originals
  • Cool Belly Rings for Any Figure by EmmaAndJordi
  • heels from Hot Pants Outfit for Genesis 2 Female(s) by Daz Originals, Nikisatez, & Sarsa
+
  • Nata 3 Hair for Genesis 3 Female by smay
  • Heart-Belly Chain for G3F by xtrart-3d
  • Talim Heels for Genesis 3 Female(s) by Sapphire3D

now here's a G2F and G3F futa pair, where i used some advanced morph on the G3F model..
these 2 finished rendering about 85% in 2:01:55 hours..
the G2F model is actually a hybrid; a combination of some body morphs, Lyric's body shape, Bailey's head shape, G2F's default skin, and Cori's makeup..
and i'm impressed with the flexibility of the G2F's Iray optimized skin...

the G3F creature on the other hand is utilizing Erica's skin material, coz i thought i'd give it a darker look compared to the G2F...

the newly featured items in here are:
  • Sora Hair by Daz Originals, & EmmaAndJordi
  • Pump It Up by WildDesigns
  • shoe texture from NYC Collection: Pump It Up Genesis 2 by 3DSublimeProductions
+
  • Futalicious For Genesis 3 Female by Meipe

then it's time for some more outfit and object test..
i need these bikinis for my beach/pool scenes..
here's the same G2F model from the previous image, and the Victoria 7 from the second image..
this scene was only able to render about 64% within 2:05:09 hours..
i can't believe that even tiny pieces of clothing like these requires a lot of time to render..
and you may also notice some white spots on the scooter as well as on V7...

i say Victoria 7 really has a beautiful face..
the Sexy Morphing Pumps is quite versatile as a footwear..
and as for her sexy bikini, i'm not really sure if that's how it supposed to look like (coz i was aiming for the gold-like texture)...

here are the newly featured materials for the image above:
  • Superhero Monokini for Genesis 2 Female(s) by LayLo 3D
+
  • FREE Three Belly Piercings for Genesis 3 Female by KarenGrant
  • Malibu by Sveva, & lilflame
  • Sexy Morphing Pumps for Genesis 3 Female(s) by outoftouch
+
  • Italian Scooter Bundle by Predatron, & Diane

lastly, my second official light test, using 4 point lights with their default values..
i used the same Victoria 7 model from before, but this time i tried using her 3Delight skin material just to see how it works on Iray..
for now, i can't tell what would have been the difference if i still used Daz's default Headlamp..
it seems the lighting was weak for the scene, but you may also notice that her skin looks more flesh-like unlike the grayish skin from her 2 previous images..
plus, she'll be needing some bigger, rounder booty on those sexy Naughty 'n' Nice Pants...

this scene finished 98% in 2:01:32 hours..
and i really need to study lighting - a lot...

the newly featured item for the image above is:
  • Naughty 'n' Nice Pants G3F by SynfulMindz

3D Arts: Clothing Test

now here's a quick test that i did months ago..
it's basically for the clothing element..
i actually did 2 renders back then; one which i stopped at 0% once it showed a rough result, and the other one is the image below...

i used G2F and G3F as my models..
and what i noticed is that the rendering engine took a lot of time before it can display a result in the preview screen..
and i concluded that it's probably due to the additional textures and material effects for the wearable items...

both character designs are not yet final..
for the G2F, i just need some more adjustments on her nose in order for me to get my desired look..
and as for the G3F, there's still a lot of work to do..
anyway, i really wanted my characters to have these clothes after i saw them, coz i'd like them to look classy and sexy always...

the featured items for my G2F model are:
  • Fashion Blizz – Slash Dress for Genesis 2 Female(s) by outoftouch
  • Office Shoes for Genesis 2 Female(s) by lilflame
  • Portia Hair 2 by AprilYSH

the featured items for my G3F model are:
  • i13 CRISS CROSS Dress for the Genesis 3 Female(s) by ironman13
  • eyeglasses from the Hot Secretary Outfit for G3F by outoftouch
  • Callisto Shoes for G3F by hameleon, & santuziy78
  • Krayon Hair for Genesis 3 Female(s), which is a FREE hair for Victoria 7 bundles

this particular render finished 89% after 2:01:12 hours..
still utilizing DAZ Studio's Auto Headlamp..
i'm satisfied with the result..
and i was also able to prove that the current computer system can still handle such rendering...

3D Arts: G2F Character Test

Content Warning:
the following blog entry contains computer graphic images and terms which may not be appropriate for minors..
please do not view this particular blog entry if you are not yet of legal age...

in here i tried a few renders to test the look of my very first G2F character...

she doesn't have a name yet..
she's still about 5' 11" tall, coz i haven't adjusted her height..
and for the initial render, i just gave her a simple pose...

here, she's utilizing the:
  • Jillian Hair for V4 by Lady Littlefox and RuntimeDNA
  • Platform Pumps 3 For Genesis 2 Female(s) by dx30

then i did a more complex, 'bossy' pose and added an object to the scene..

now she's utilizing the:
  • Pure Hair: Bubblegum for Genesis by Daz Originals (which can be occasionally acquired for FREE)
  • Deluxe Office Chair by hameleon

the chair was not a very smart purchase, coz you can actually acquire related stuff from purchasable settings (like offices and buildings)..
for some reason, i'm still more into that FREE Betsy Hair for V4 and V3..
this particular render only finished about 85% within 2 hours...

and for the last test, the objective is to try a render with more objects in the background..
the material of that Sci-Fi Siren Boots is really impressive..
unfortunately for the mirror, it failed to produce the reflected image (probably due to some lighting aspect), but it did produce some reflection..
this render only completed about 25% within 1:15 hours, and i don't know why it didn't finish the entire maximum render time of 2 hours...

in here, she's utilizing the:
  • Balana Hair V4-A4-G4 by nikisatez
  • Boots from Sci-Fi Siren Outfit for Genesis 2 Female(s) by Daz Originals, Bobbie25, and Sarsa (i acquired this for FREE from the Sci-Fi Warrior Bundle)
  • FREE Cheval Mirror by Ness Period Reproductions
  • FREE i13 Screen Prop

i think i need to readjust her nose a little bit to make it broader and kinda realistic...

3D Arts: Victoria 4.2 Test - Part 2

Content Warning:
the following blog entry contains computer graphic images and terms which may not be appropriate for minors..
please do not view this particular blog entry if you are not yet of legal age...

after failing with the render of 2 skins for my V4.2, i thought of checking out their settings and comparing it with the skins of V4.2, G2F, and G3F which worked well..
that's when i noticed that there is in a fact a difference with some preset values..
and so what i did was to simply copy the values from the working skins to those of the 2 skins which produced an 'error' before...

here's a direct link to that earlier experiment:
3D Arts: Victoria 4.2 Test

this was the previous result for SickleYield's DSA Mats for Moonfire's Colleen for V4...

and this is the result after making adjustments to its default settings..
i decided to render 2 Colleen's skin simultaneously; one with the makeup, and another with just her natural skin..
their angles are directly facing the headlamp, and i think this skin is just too bright for a character..
as for the nipple area, it also failed to cover the right spot..
so i guess i won't be using this skin after all...

the newly featured item in here is the:
  • Alanis Hair by fabiana

this image only completed 94% of the render within 2:00:14 hours...

then here's the result of the initial test for SickleYield's DSA Mats for Von's Bonnie V4...

and this is the result for the second try..
i think this is the most decent-looking skin for V4 which i have tested so far..
not too pale and not too bright, i actually thought that this skin would look darker after the render, but it looks just fine now..
and for the nipple area, the texture was applied in the correct spot, though it still didn't completely cover the entire areola region which i assigned for this particular morph..
but i think i could make good use of this skin in the future...

the newly featured items in here are:
  • Jillian Hair for V4 by Lady Littlefox and RuntimeDNA
  • Angelina High Heels V4_A4_G4_Elite by Arryn

plus, she's with a little G2M friend (from before)..
i used the default Iray Optimized skin for G2M on him, and it produced a slightly lighter skin tone compared to his default skin (but it's still hairy for my preference)..
with these 2, the image finished rendering within 1:50:45 hours...

also, i've already created my own watermark to somehow protect my work..
it appears as GXC, though it is actually read as GCX..

3D Arts: Genesis 3 Female Test

Content Warning:
the following blog entry contains computer graphic images and terms which may not be appropriate for minors..

Blogger mishandled my draft..
so i had to re-type this post from scratch... :(

anyway, here's my initial experiment using the Genesis 3 Female (G3F) model...

so this is how the face of the base G3F figure looks like..
that's her default skin, i think that's the Jeane skin..
it looks good already, though the shape of her teat region isn't that flexible enough in terms of morphs (not that realistic)..
this model stands about 5' 11" tall...

in here, she's utilizing the:
  • Rose Hair V4, G2, G3 by SWAM
  • FREE Pearl Earrings V4 by LMDesign
  • boots and collar from the FREE Dark Storm outfit for G3F

this is how her default skin looks like in the viewport...

this is how it looks like after rendering..
it is still the same skin compared to that of the very first image, though the light is coming from her left side this time..
this is my first character morph using the G3F base model..
she kinda looks like an Asian..
and i still don't have a name for her yet..
also, she's still at 5' 11" tall (i'll just adjust her height once i've finalized her)...

i couldn't provide more complicated poses for this and the succeeding test images, coz her footwear wouldn't follow her movements..
her shoes is actually a V4's high heels, and i just made adjustments to it in order to fit a G3F character..
the hair is also that of a V4..
and that's why i had to settle with a very simple pose for her...

now, she's utilizing the:
  • Eternal Kyra Hair by fabiana (i adjusted it to fit a G3F)
  • Angelina High Heels V4_A4_G4_Elite by Arryn
  • FREE Winter Princess Earrings by Valea

  •
this is how the Jeane SSS50 skin looks like in the viewport...

this is the result of the render..
don't get confused with the hair and the heels, i just adjusted their looks before rendering...

this is how the Jeane SSS25 skin looks like in the viewport...

and this is how the Jeane SSS25 skin looks like after rendering..
as you can notice, the shades of the different SSS-adjusted-Jeane-skin may vary inside the viewport, but it doesn't necessarily have much difference after the render is complete..
i still don't know much about the SSS settings of the skin, but it seems it only has something to do with the characteristics of the subsurface and not with the actual skin tone...

also, i noticed that although her breasts looks big already while in front view, it kinda looks small (speaking of proportions) from a side view...

in here, the G3F is utilizing the:
  • Krayon Hair for Genesis 3 Female(s), which is a FREE hair for Victoria 7 bundles

this is how the Erica Iray Optimized skin looks like in the viewport...

now this is a skin of a purchasable character for G3F..
i like the body type of that Erica character because it is curvy and i thought i could use it for my own models..
but unfortunately, it seems it still requires some morph (which were not stated in the product page, but was stated in the ReadMe file - it was already late for me to do that) in order to work...

this is still the same character that i made..
though the makeup and the skin tone kinda provided its face with a different shape..
also, i already made adjustments with her breasts and butt so that they are more proportional in both front and side views...

in here she's utilizing:
  • skin and makeup of Erica for Genesis 3 Female by RPublishing

lastly, here's a comparative view of all the G3F skins that i tested so far..
and i think the default Jeane skin already passed my taste...

also, among this 5 test..
only the first image didn't complete the rendering within 2 hours..
it only finished about 96%..
it's probably due to her detailed Dark Storm wearables...

3D Arts: Victoria 4.2 Test

Content Warning:
the following blog entry contains computer graphic images which may not be appropriate for minors..
please do not view this particular blog entry if you are not yet of legal age...

here goes my initial test for my Victoria 4.2 (V4.2) model...

this is how her default All Natural NG skin looks like in the viewport...

and this is how it looks like, while facing the default Headlamp..
pale and kinda rough..
she stands about 5' 10" for the meantime...

it's hard to work with free stuff alone..
so it's a good thing that most of the items have already been featured in some famous 3D artists' work before i acquired them...

for this particular model, i used:
  • Eternal Kyra Hair by fabiana
  • Ankle Wrap Shoes by lilflame
  • and the FREE Pearl Earrings V4 by LMDesign
  • also, the face is a variation from some Face 004 sculpt from sharecg (sorry, i forgot the exact name :( )

now using the skin from Adara for V4.2 by nikisatez via the viewport...

the result is a little paler compared to the default skin...

i also tested using:
  • Balana Hair V4-A4-G4 by nikisatez

then this is SickleYield's DSA Mats for Von's Bonnie V4..
as you can see, the skin looks well while in the viewport...

but here's what happened after the render..
it produced a dark skin texture, even the nails became dark in color..
it's like the colors were inverted..
but the other props were still rendered correctly...

and this is SickleYield's DSA Mats for Moonfire's Colleen for V4..
also looks great in the viewport...

but the result is just like the test for Bonnie's skin...

the hair is:
  • TroyAnne Hair by -Wolfie-

and lastly, a comparative side-by-side view of my V4.2's current working skins..
both the All Natural NG and Adara's skin finished rendering in 2 hours..
while Bonnie's and Colleen's skin only finished more than 70% within the maximum 2 hours of render time..
unfortunately, they're still too pale for the job...

3D Arts: Material & Headlamp Test

Content Warning:
the following blog entry contains computer graphic images which may not be appropriate for minors..

now here's my first attempt on rendering 2 characters..
of course, there's my basic G2F model (i've decided that i'll be sticking with this Caucasian and brown-haired form of her for now)..
and the little guy is a morph from a Genesis 2 Male (G2M) model...

this is a test for both transparency of Quando's Loose Top for G2F, as well as the angle of Daz Studio 4.9's default Headlamp..
and i think i already get the direction from where that very helpful light is coming from... :)

for the girl, i just added that basic underwear that goes with her bundle..
and the Quando's top is the torn off version..
and for the little guy:
- he stands about 3' 9" (nope, he is not a kid)
- that's the default skin tone for the G2M (but it's a fail for me, coz i think it's too dark to match the girl's Caucasian skin)..
- and a free Lumber Jack pants that comes with his bundle (i'll need a loincloth for his kind)

this took 2:00:36 hours to render..
with 95% completion...

for this one, i experimented with the Betsy Hair black version once more..
it's a little bit of a close up shot..
and i tried using Atrion's Asian skin (for female) on the little guy..
the overall skin tone looks decent already, though you may notice that the eyebrows, eyelids, and the lips are actually meant for a female's skin... XD

oh, and about both poses..
they're based on a Genesis 3 Female and a Genesis 2 Male free sample poses..
for my G2F, i copied the pose details of a G3F, and just provided my own adjustments to it..
same goes for the little guy, i just adjusted the preset pose to my own taste...

this took 2:00:50 to render..
and it only finished at 74%...

also i tried watching a full length film on the same laptop while i was running the render machine..
and it worked..
so i think i can still do some multi-tasking while DAZ is busy rendering...

3D Arts: Skin, Lighting, Hair Color Test

Content Warning:
the following blog entry contains computer graphic images which may not be appropriate for minors..
please do not view this particular blog entry if you are not yet of legal age...

this is the first time that i used lighting to my test subject...

in here i used a Distant Light (and it produced a really defined shadow)..
i converted my model's height to approximately only 5' 6" (my ideal height for the ladies)..
and also tried Atrion's Asian skintone...

also, i added some accessories:
- JamesJAB Stylish Glasses for V4
- Valea Winter Princess Earrings

unfortunately, it's a failure..
it only rendered 50% after 2:00:26 hours...

after that i did another render..
i adjusted the Maximum Render Time to 10,800 seconds (3 hours)..
then focused the Distant Light to my model..
but it only finished 53% after 3:00:19 hours..
it's better compared to my first try, but there were still a lot of noise on the image..
also, i forgot to save the image... :(

after failing with lights for 2 tries, i decided to just use the Default Headlamp again...

now she has the red Betsy hair..
and the Iray Optimized skintone...

it took 1:40:49 hours to render...

then i tried the brown hair..
and used the Real Woman N skintone..
i removed the eyeglasses because the glasses are not transparent enough...

also, i tried using the morph-able:
- Quanto Loose Top for G2F

this took 1:37:14 hours to render..
and i think i'll be using that brown hair of hers (for now)...

and finally, a blondie version..
and using the Real Woman SSS skintone...

it only took 1:18:12 hours to finish rendering...

---o0o---

and here's another set of experiment...

so i've also been trying different poses while trying out different elements...

so this is how Atrion's Asian skin looks like using the Default Headlamp of DAZ...

but there seem to be a problem with the model's butt..
probably due to the Round Booty morph that i used to it..
so it may need some postwork next time...

this took 2:00:25 to render...

and here's my experiment with the brownhead Caucasian...

it finished rendering around 1:42 hours...

as for my conclusions..
the quality of the render and the Maximum Render Time needed is dependent on the size of the objects or the scene being rendered..
it also depends on the quality of the lighting..
the larger the canvas (or the occupied area of the canvas) - the longer the time that is needed to render it with good quality...

plus, both Atrion's Caucasian and Asian skintone for G2F already passed my test... :)

3D Arts: Skin Test (Part I)

Content Warning:
the following blog entry contains computer graphic images which may not be appropriate for minors..
please do not view this particular blog entry if you are not yet of legal age...

in here, i still used the same model from my previous post...

now with the corrected (uniform) skin..
i only changed her footwear:

  • it's a base model of Andy's Wedges (i believe it was originally meant for Victoria 4 models, so it didn't fit my Genesis 2 Female model correctly, and i had to increase the scale of the shoes a little so i can hide the overlapping skin)
  • the skin is the Caucasian type by Atrion
  • her height is approximately 5'11" (according to Daz Studio's website Genesis 3 Female stands 5'11", and i compared both Victoria 4 and Genesis 2 Female with her and all of them are almost of the same height - quite tall)

(here's how the Real Woman texture looks like while still inside DAZ's user interface)

i still used the same default Headlamp for the lighting..
    with no background..
this time, i increased the Maximum Render Time to 9,000 seconds (2:30 hours)..
and i chose to render it as a .png file (of course i won't share the actual file, but uncensored copies are in my DeviantArt account)...

this one took 2:11 hours to render..
and i only put a colored background to it using Adobe Photoshop...

based on the output, i already like the result..
there's no more white spot, and i don't know if having no background set or changing the format to .png did the trick..
she just needs a new hair and a sexier high heels, and she's good to go... ^_^

the same pose as the last one, but i rendered it using a different angle...

i don't know if i did something wrong..
i'm not sure if i still need to save the changes that i made to a scene, in order for that to take effect during rendering..
    • but this one was supposed to have the Iray Optimized skin...

i set the Maximum Render Time back to 7,200 seconds (2:00 hours)..
and it finished rendering at 1:58 hours...

my last test render for that day..
    the money shot, haha! :D

    • now this one was supposed to have the Real Woman skin..
but still, it didn't seem to work...

it took 1:53:20 hours to render...

i'm still confused because all the results of my latest experiment seem to have the same skintone (as you can see in this comparative side-to-side view)... :(

    anyway..
next time, i'll be working on a different pose..
i'll try saving the files before rendering them, to see if the skin will change then..
and i'll probably try some basic lighting as well...

    My First Try at 3D

    Content Warning:
the following blog entry contains computer graphic images which may not be appropriate for minors..
please do not view this particular blog entry if you are not yet of legal age...

so here's my first attempt at studying 3D manipulation art..
it's been my dream since 2012 (due to influences like Epoch, Blackadder, Dizzydills, Gamasutra, HitmanX3Z, Fullytank, etc, and recently ironman13)..
but unfortunately, my computer unit's operating system back then was already obsolete to run Daz Studio... :(

right now, i'm just borrowing a unit..
and i'm only using a basic laptop in doing my 3D experiment... :(

here's how Daz Studio 4.9's user interface looks like:

    (using hiddenline drawstyle option)

    (using smooth shaded drawstyle option)

    (using cartoon shaded drawstyle option)

the image on the top right portion of the user interface shows how the different objects look like when doing the layout for the scene..
and looking at the result, it shows that there is 'actually' a difference between the 3D environment and the rendered material..
so practice is really necessary to obtain the desired output...

    and here's the initial result:

out of using free 3D software and components:
    • software is Daz Studio 4.9
    • base model is Genesis 2 Female
    • makeup and other facial details are from some Cori source
    • the hair is that of Betsy for Victoria 4
    • i have a genital component already, but i decided to just use a cameltoe hip morph for this model
    • i used SickleYield's The Sickle Booty G1G2 to enhance her butt
    • heels is Like the Devil for Victoria 4 (i need a sexier high heels)
    • the lighting is just the basic Auto Headlamp (for now)
    • background is a Bus Stop prop from Daz
    • and for this simple scene, it took me 2 hours and 55 seconds to finish the .jpeg format render

something went wrong with the skin tone during my experimenting with different components, and i didn't notice that her torso already had a different tone before rendering... XD

i still have a lot to learn..
i have to know how to get rid of the white spots in the future..
grab more gorgeous and sexy tools (like ironman13's Criss Cross dress for Genesis 3 Female)..
and study lighting and more realistic poses...

    Sabado, Disyembre 15, 2012

    Taboo

    - basta gusto mo lang ipahayag, sabi nga nila 'freedom of expression'
